I need to create a website for my band. Where can I find free webspace and HTML tutorials?

That's THE BEST place for free webspace. You even get the WordPress publishing system to use FOR FREE... you cannot beat that. I use it.

If you really want the site to look as professional as possible as you stated, then you can't really do that with a free website. You can actually get decent web hosting really cheap these days - even less than $3.00 a month. Free hosts usually include some sort of advertising, and even if they don't you're sometimes limited in what you can do.

You would use CSS for dropdown menus, not HTML. The best you can do with HTML is a rollover...
