I might be teaching the basics of creating a web site to some total novices does anyone know of a downloadable guide such as in pdf format that i can use for reference?Web site creation / html / css tutorial?

RonWeb site creation / html / css tutorial?
http://www.w3schools.com and http://www.tizag.com/ are the two best resources I have found on the Internet so far. But you will easily find more stuff on the Internet. I suggest you to be original too, not only teach exactly what you find on a tutorial, but be original, teach your own classes. If your students have already visited the sites you use a your curriculum of classes, they will realize that you do not have anything original to teach... But yeah, it is important to find good resources on the web, so my first recommendations are http://www.w3schools.com and http://www.tizag.com/
